Skydiving Club goes Skydiving!

Skydiving
“On Saturday, April 13 the Towson Skydiving Club took 14 students to Skydive Delmarva, in Laurel, Delaware to have the experience of a lifetime… skydiving! The students participated in “tandem skydiving” – where the student is harnessed to the instructor and the skydiving instructor controls the whole dive.

We arrived at 8 a.m., filled out waivers and began jumping at 9:30 a.m. Everyone jumped successfully and landed with huge smiles on their face. It’s amazing watching other people experience skydiving for the first time.. or second or third time. It’s the same thrill I experience after 146 skydives. It is the reason the skydiving club came into existence when Chelsey Anderson started it up in 2009. We love sharing the sensation of free fall and the adrenaline of leaping from an airplane with Towson students.

Chelsey actually came out in the afternoon to take a packing class and make a skydive. She is working towards her A-license. Along with Chelsey, Sam Wood, our past treasurer, came out to make a skydive as well. They loved seeing the club they worked so hard to form, out still making skydives.”
